Grants

We provide grants for small-scale scientific research projects in the field of asthma and COPD. In addition, we support activities undertaken by and on behalf of patients with asthma or COPD. Annually, we have an amount of about EUR 250,000 available to finance 6 to 8 projects, which translates to Eur 30,000 – 35,000 per project.
The most current NWO tables will be leading for personnel costs and surcharges.
 

From 2024, all grant applications must be submitted digitally. The questions correspond to those of the existing forms. If you have already submitted an application in the past 5 years, you received an email asking you to activate your account. You can also find the grant applications for which you were an applicant or co-applicant on the new website. 

The deadline for submitting project grants has been set on March 1 and  October 1.

Before you start filling out the grant application:
- CVs of applicant and co-applicants must be uploaded as separate files.
- When applying for a grant for personnel costs, the completed personnel costs form must be uploaded.
- An application does not have to be completed in one go. Interim storage is possible.

The deadlines for submitting project grants are February 15 (spring grant round) and Oktober 1 (autumn grant round).

Thesis grants

To be eligible for a subsidy, asthma and/or COPD must be the subject of the research carried out.
Do you think you may be eligible for a thesis grant? Download the Word document below, with which you can submit your application for a grant. 
When a grant is awarded, the standard grant amount is 350 euros.

Applications must be submitted at least 1 month before the date of the defence

Conference, course or research traineeship grants   

Do you think you may be eligible for a grant to visit a conference, follow a course or do research training? Download the Excel document below, with which you can submit your application for a grant. 
When a grant for visit of a conference is awarded, the standard grant amount is 700 euros.


Applications must be submitted at least 1 month before the start of the course, internship or conference
